Musings: Red Carpet RiRi – A Roundup

Rihanna’s red carpet looks never cease to amaze me. There are so many to choose from, but I’ve wittled it down to my favourite few for this post. I love the way she knows her body and knows what works for her, she isn’t afraid to wear something provocative and get noticed for it. Here goes…

This is possibly my favourite Rihanna look to date.

Here she is seen wearing a gorgeous one-shouldered lace gown by her favourite British designer, Stella McCartney, at the 2011 Met Gala Ball in New York.

Somehow she manages to pull together an dramatic side-plait, turquoise dangly earrings and a ton of accessories. This look is edgy, sexy, dramatic and beautiful. Would you ever consider wearing all of this together, or do you believe in the age old saying of “less is more”?

This is another red carpet look from RiRi, again at the 2012 Met Gala Ball.

She is wearing a low-back black crocodile-skin Tom Ford full length gown, showing off her star tattoo on her neck. This is a completely different look to the previous year.

Still opting for black, this look focuses more on texture. On any other person or paler skintones, this dress may be too harsh, but Rihanna fits it perfectly by matching her hair colour to her dress and shoes this time round. All black everything?

This look may not suit everyones taste as it is not particular is feminine or as sexy as the previous year’s dress.

What do you think of Rihanna’s red carpet looks, too sexy or too extreme?
