Okay ladies, now lets get into foundations…
Nars All Day Weightless Foundation, Tahoe
This is my holy grail for sure – it does everything it says on the bottle and even though it’s not cheap (£32 ew), it really is worth every penny. It’s medium to full coverage and best of all it doesn’t feel heavy. I’ve worn foundation this in -6C cold and 47C heat and it still doesn’t budge. This is definitely my ride or die!
Mac Prolongwear, NC45
I purchased this back in April in Milan airport as I’d got there 3-4 hours too early for my flight and clearly had money to waste. I love a long-lasting foundation and it perplexes me when I see foundations advertised and they only last 6 to 8 hours. Does that mean it’ll start evaporating from my face after this amount of time – who knows? Anyway, I wasn’t sure about this foundation at first, I felt like it didn’t really do much for my face, it seemed a little too matte. A few times after using this, I finally learn how to use, you definitely need at least 2-3 pumps and be quick when blending as it dries really quickly. I use this a few times a week and it has great staying power and looks really natural.
Nars Velvet Matte Skin Tint, Cuba
I was heading to Majorca this past summer and happened to wonder into Nars before my trip in search of a summer foundation that had SPF. Being who I am as a person, I always forget to put suncream on my face, so I definitely needed like this to give me the protection I needed. I absolutely LOVE this foundation for those days I can’t be bothered but still need some coverage. The application is effortless and you can build it up for that soft matte finish. This feels so good on my skin and makes it feel plump and rejuvenated. Although, I must mention this is not a foundation I’d wear for taking selfies, more for when my skin needs to breathe a little.
Mac Studio Tech, NC45
I bought this in Vegas last year and if I’m honest it’s not something I really reach for but when I do I realise how much I love it. As the weather gets colder, my skin gets really really dry and sometimes liquid foundations just sit and seep into the cracks of my face no matter how much I moisturise. This foundation is great for everyday and especially in winter as it’s creme texture adds a little elasticity to my skin.
What are your holy grail foundations?
