I love food. Food is fuel. I love finding out about new restaurants as they might be ‘cool’. But most of all I love eating with friends, catching up, and just trying something new. I live in London, potentially one of the best places in the world for food (I’m biased). There is somewhere new opening up every week, but there are places that have been here for years. Here is my ever-growing list of places I’ve been and places to try:
Aqua
Aquum
Asia De Cuba
Barbecoa, St Paul’s
Barrica
Big Easy – The shrimp is to die for…
Bird
Bistrotheque
Bob Bob Ricard – Press for champagne.
Bodeans
Boisdale
Bubble Dog
Bungatini
Byron – Not my favourite burger chain, but not bad if you’re out shopping and want a bite. Surprisingly the chicken caesar salad is AMAZING.
C’oq D’argent
Chez Bruce
Chiltern Firehouse
Chino Latino
Chop House
Crazy Bear
Dinner by Heston Blumental
Duck & Waffle
Flat Iron
Franco Manca – Cheap, great fresh pizza but they don’t take reservations so be prepare to queue if its busy.
Gaucho, Tower Bridge – Amazing steak with a gorgeous view of an iconic London landmark; perfect for those special occasions or if you just fancy something different.
Gilgamesh – The honey lamb skewers bring a tear to my eye as they were just SO tender…
Hawksmoor
Holborn Dining Room
Honest Burger – Honestly a really good burger and they come with fries – wahey!
Hu-tong
Iberica, Marylebone or Farringdon
Lap
Las Iguanas – I love the tapas, so varied and the cocktails are fresh and tasty too (Make sure you get there before 7pm as they’re 2 for 1).
Lobster Roll Deli
Madison – My favourite London rooftop bar and they do really good food. I’d always make a reservation if you’re thinking of coming here – the queues on a Friday night in summer are ridiculous.
Meat Market
Meat Mission
Meatliquor
Mintleaf
Mr Foggs – This place reminds me of the pub in Harry Potter, its pretty much a real life Leaky Cauldron.
Nu Bar
Oblix
One Aldwych
Oslo
Pescatori
Qualingos
Radio Rooftop Bar
Red Dog Saloon
Rivington Grill
Roka
STK London – The steak is a little salty for my liking BUT it has a great party atmosphere. Perfect for a birthday dinner with the girls or guys!
Scotts
Searcy’s, Gherkin
Searcy’s, St. Pancras Grand
Sexy Fish
Shanghai, Dalston – Great authentic Chinese – Has karaoke too!
Sky Lounge
Skylon
Sodo
Stax
Sticky Wings
Tamarind
The Breakfast Club
The Don
The Hoxton Grill
The Hoxton Pony
The Mercer, EC2
The OXO Tower
The Table
Yard Sale
Theres also a lot of food festivals to visit in London. You can check out a full list here.
Let me know if you manage to try any of these or if you have any suggestions?

There’s a Japanese BBQ where you cook your own food somewhere around Chancery Lane. Food is really good but it’s a great experience as a whole.
