Musings: The Bedtime Tag

I was kindly nominated by my name-twin Charlotte to complete this tag, please do check out her lovely blog here.

The bedroom tag...
 Describe your bedtime routine
I’m just going describe my evening routine instead…
7pm – Dinner
7.30pm – Shower
8pm – 10.30pm – Take off make up, chill, plan outfit for the next day, cry that I still have to go to work and my prince hasn’t saved me yet…
What are your favourite pyjamas?
My favourite pyjamas aren’t actually pyjamas… I love old oversized t-shirts that I’d never wear in public but are perfect for bed. I would love to be a girl who wears silk chemises and pretty pyjamas but it just isn’t me.
What is your current bed time read?
Scrolling through Twitter. I really need to get out of this habit and start reading again. Does anyone have any recommendations?
What would I find on your bedside table?
Weirdly, I don’t have one. But my one would have a lamp, mirror, cleanser, an empty mug and make up wipes.

What scent makes you sleepy?
Lavender. Lately I’ve been using a pillow spray to help me get to sleep as I’m having trouble winding down (hence why I need to get off Twitter before bed).
What is your usual bed time / wake time?
My bedtime is between 10.30pm and midnight and I wake up at 5.45am pretty much every day. I’ve written about my love of mornings here though…
What are your top 3 bedtime products?
  1. Johnson & Johnson – Make up wipes (The purple ones are great for bedtime)
  2. Cotton wool – A wild choice I know…
  3. Garnier Micellar water – I never realised how much make up was STILL on my face until I started using this
What is your current sleeping position?
All over the place… I can pretty much sleep anywhere, floor, bath, living room. YOU NAME IT.
What do you like to take to bed to you?
Chicken wings, my iPad and my bluetooth speaker.
What is your worst bed time habit?
Eating in bed, getting crumbs everywhere in the process but worst of all, scrolling in the dark (it’s bad for my eyes).
Thanks for reading about my bedtime habits… I’m nominating anyone who reads this post.

  7. […] I seem to be in this mood all the time (I should just become a recluse), but sometimes humans are DRAINING. Some people talk about the same thing night and day and you wonder if there is any more substance to them other than work and their trivial life problems. Saying no these kinda plans is a reminder that I value my time and space. […]

About Me

Welcome to my little space on the internet, known as Memoirs and Musings. I’m Char, short for Charlotte and my blog/website/diary is dedicated to documenting my Memoirs and Musings, hence the name. I wouldn’t say I was your ‘typical’ blogger either. I don’t care about getting the perfect flatlay or feeling bad for not posting, I just enjoy writing. If you’ve made it this far, thank you for reading. Anyway, I love to travel, indulge in a glass of white wine, when plans are cancelled and purchase overpriced make up.  I guess that’s me in a nutshell, trying to figure out this thing called life, have fun and never lose sight.
