Guest Post: Where to in 2017?*

Some places are just classic holiday destinations that have attracted tourists for years. These kinds of places will always be around but after a while, they might start to get a bit boring. After you’ve been to a beach resort a few times, there isn’t that much there to excite you. If it feels like you’ve already been to all of the great holiday destinations around the world, it can be hard to find something new. What you should be looking for are the new tourist destinations that are just emerging. Places change all of the time and there are a lot of countries out there that you wouldn’t normally consider. These are the tourist destinations that are hot right now.

Sunset, Dubai

The rate at which Dubai has developed is staggering. The huge city that is now one of the biggest and most extravagant places in the Middle East and it’s emerged in the space of a few decades. There used to be nothing there really, but these days there are all sorts of fun things to do in Dubai. It’s known for being one of the richest cities in the world and it attracts people from all over the world. In fact, 96 percent of the people that live there are foreign born, making it the most multicultural place in the world. If luxury is your thing, Dubai is definitely the place for you. It’s the playground of the richest people in the world and the whole city is packed with luxury hotels and restaurants for you to enjoy, but be aware, it’s going to be expensive out there.

Brunch, Dubai

Japan as a country has recently seen a huge spike in tourism. People are drawn there because its culture is so wildly different to anywhere else in the world. It also offers a great mix of lavish countryside and built up cities so there’s something for everybody there. You can visit the great natural features of the country like the mountain ranges and rivers which make up the routes for lots of spiritual pilgrimages that are popular amongst locals and tourists alike. If you’re looking for a faster paced experience then head for the capital city of Tokyo. It has a strange mix of traditional and new with huge neon skyscrapers set next to traditional temples. There are loads of great Shinto shrines to visit as well as a whole host of great museums as well.

So many beautiful landscapes have been ruined by building and development so it’s hard to find real, untouched countryside. If that’s what you’re searching for, Guyana is one of the best places to find it. The country in South America is only populated by a few small villages of locals and the wildlife outnumbers the people living there. The beautiful rainforests are completely pristine and boast all sorts of amazing animals. A lot of the surrounding countries are popular amongst wildlife enthusiasts but Guyana is the best place to get an authentic experience. As it gets more popular, there is always the risk that some of that rainforest will be lost to development so get over there now while you’ve got the chance.

These great emerging tourist destinations are perfect for somebody that wants a fresh and exciting place to visit.
