Musings: A Taste of Vieve Protein Water

A few weeks ago I was sent some tasty beverages to try from Vieve. I’d actually seen their stand at Bloggers Festival back in September but didn’t have a chance to speak to them, so it was a lovely touch to connect with them this way.

Anyway, if you’ve never heard of the brand, they are relatively new, so that will explain why! They promise to bring the benefits of protein to active men and women, without the need for sugar, fat or artificial ingredients. Sounds too good to be true right? But it is good and it is true…

A little history

The brand was started by entrepreneur Rafael Rozenson who spent 2 years trialling different flavours and combinations. Success doesn’t happen overnight and it is great to hear how much effort went into creating the drinks. On that note, each both of Vieve protein water contains:

I actually go to the gym 4-5 times per week (HA HA HA) and this fitted well into my lifestyle whilst I tried it. Here is my lowdown on the flavours I tried…

Well aware my bag is full of crap.

Coconut and Honey

Two of my most-loved scents, coconut and honey; two of the most loved flavours of the past few years, coconut and honey. I took this with me to my favourite place on earth, the gym, instead of a bottle of water, to see how it’d last through my workout. I wasn’t sure what to expect at first as I’m so used to drinking ‘normal’ water but I found the sweet taste something to look forward to between sets. Best of all, it supports the growth and and maintenance of muscle mass,  so Vieve makes a great alternative to your regular bottle of water.

Strawberry and Rhubarb

My absolute favourite of the ones I tried. I was quite shocked as some strawberry drinks tend to be overly sweet and I haven’t tasted enough rhubarb in my life to comment. The taste was light, but actually tasted like both rhubarb and strawberry equally. It really perked me up in the afternoon and instead of reaching for a biscuit, I forged this for one.

Citrus, Apple and Mint

I’ve never been a huge fan of citrus flavours, so I was least excited to try this flavour BUT it was actually lovely. Much like the strawberry and rhubarb, you could taste all the flavours which made me think a lot of time went into creating these and it could still be tasty without sugar. Not only that, you’ll be glad to know that Vieve is the first sports nutrition product and protein drink in the UK to be certified sugar free by Sugarwise.

The packaging is absolutely adorable and looks great in your hand, or in an Instagram post next to your gym kit. You can find out more about Vieve here.

Have you tried Vieve before?

About Me

Welcome to my little space on the internet, known as Memoirs and Musings. I’m Char, short for Charlotte and my blog/website/diary is dedicated to documenting my Memoirs and Musings, hence the name. I wouldn’t say I was your ‘typical’ blogger either. I don’t care about getting the perfect flatlay or feeling bad for not posting, I just enjoy writing. If you’ve made it this far, thank you for reading. Anyway, I love to travel, indulge in a glass of white wine, when plans are cancelled and purchase overpriced make up.  I guess that’s me in a nutshell, trying to figure out this thing called life, have fun and never lose sight.
