It does feel like we’re pressured into ticking off milestones one by one. From going to university, finding a partner, a career, kids, buying a house etc.
I feel like I have this conversation with a certain group of my friends every time we meet up. It usually goes along the lines of:
‘How is work?’
‘When are you getting married?’
‘I can’t believe how old we’re getting’
‘Remember the old days when…’

It’s the same thing over and over and over. Much like the previous sentence. We’re not positive all the time, I don’t want you to relist your CV off every time we meet up. Tell me about your failures, your lessons and what makes you tick. We’re human after all.
I’m stuck in a strange limbo where I’m really enjoying life for what it is. Lately all I have felt is a feeling of contentment. I’m not exactly where I want to be but I’m working on it. That’s the main thing, working on something for you.

This is so true! I feel like as soon as we enter our 20s all the questions begin. “When are you getting married? What are you doing with your life?” There’s so much pressure to fulfill these crazy expectations. The best thing to do is to live your life! x

Thank you Temi! I think it’s all about not stressing about about things (or at least trying not to). Instead taking things as they come and seeing them as character building! xxx

I hate checklists 😩 I remember being in my early 20s thinking and feeling like life was incomplete if I didn’t have one but as I’ve gotten older, I have learnt to take one day at a time.
