Memoirs: #BloggersFestival 2016 – Event Roundup

Most of blog posts seem to start with ‘I got in an Uber because the weekends make me lazy…

So on Saturday 3rd September 2016, I got in an Uber because weekends make me lazy. #BloggersFestival was taking place at The Conrad Hotel situated in St. James Park, not far from iconic London views like this…
But just hidden away enough from the hustle and bustle of all the tourists. Having attended #BloggersFestival last year, I was excited to see what Scarlett had in store for this year’s event, so I made sure to follow the updates on Twitter beforehand.

Jewellery Box

I have met the team behind a few times at blogger events now and each time I fall more and more in love with their displays and products. I had the opportunity to take part in a blogger shoot was lucky enough to pick a few pieces to model (or at least attempt to)…

I love minimalist pieces – there is something so elegant, timeless and classic about adding a hint of metallic to your outfit to really pull it together. Jewellery Box really do have something for everyone and Gemma even told me that for chunky fingers like mine they do a wide range of sizes!

I previously came across the Lipivir brand at #BloggersBall and I can say they really know how to interact with bloggers! They are really passionate about their products and if you ever happen to suffer with a cold sore I would recommend you give their gel a try as it contains no harmful chemicals!

It was really inspiring seeing a brand like Alflorex at #BloggersBall because not all blogs are about lipstick and home decor. Sometimes it is important to speak about things we are suffering with and we never know whose lives we will help.

Friction Free Shaving

I absolutely love the concept behind Friction Free Shaving (FFS for short 😂). I for some reason always find myself buying new razors every month but never new blades – stupid I know. FFS are something I can see myself subscribing to as they deliver you a fresh razor each month with four blades, one for each week of the month. Best of all, they’re SO affordable with prices starting at £3 and free postage, I’m ready for less friction in my life.

Brodie & Stone

Previously used their products having discovered them at last year’s #BloggersFestival, their Natural World Argan Oil of Morocco is my holy grail to add moisture and shine to my hair. It comes in a perfect travel sized container and is perfect to add in before or after blow-drying, straightening or the those natural beach days! I was given a sample of their Hydration & Shine Weightless Hair Oil and cannot wait to see how this compares.

Body Chef in essence do everything on this poster.

I struggle with eating healthily on the weekends as the fridge becomes my best friend when my own ignore me. You can find out more about what they do here.
Find out more from last year’s #BloggersFestival here, Scarlett’s events here and the hashtag here. Thank you for hosting such a wonderful event and I cannot wait for the next one!

About Me

Welcome to my little space on the internet, known as Memoirs and Musings. I’m Char, short for Charlotte and my blog/website/diary is dedicated to documenting my Memoirs and Musings, hence the name. I wouldn’t say I was your ‘typical’ blogger either. I don’t care about getting the perfect flatlay or feeling bad for not posting, I just enjoy writing. If you’ve made it this far, thank you for reading. Anyway, I love to travel, indulge in a glass of white wine, when plans are cancelled and purchase overpriced make up.  I guess that’s me in a nutshell, trying to figure out this thing called life, have fun and never lose sight.
