Discovering with your true self comes with age. Something kicked in when I turned 27 (not the very moment), but I came to a point of self-contentment where I’d truly discovered the ‘true’ me. Anything prior to this age helped me to get where I am today with all the experiences, moments and things I went through.
Take a moment to reflect about who you think you are, what others think of you (ask for feedback), where you want to be and how to get there. discovering your true self takes high emotional intelligence, self critique and realising your strengths and weaknesses.
If it wasn’t for blogging and growing up somewhat, I would still be stuck in my old ways. Discovering your true self means learning to shake off the fear and the doubt and attempt the unknown. You never know what part of life you’re missing out on or what passion is waiting to be unawakened. You may even begin to find the hidden meaning behind numbers in your life. I’m very loyal to the number three, so it’d be worth exploring what this means to me.
I can’t express how much travel has helped me discover my true self, but you can by checking out all my travel posts.
You can discover your true self through travel but seeing a world outside your everyday surroundings, exploring a different environment and developing the real you.
Taking that cliche travel photo…
Letting go is something I occasionally struggle with as I let things get to me too much. However, reflecting, travelling and doing things differently help me to forget about the everyday stresses of life and help me focus on being me, unapologetically.
What ways have you discovered your true self?
Please note, this is a collaborative post with Numerologist.
