Travel size beauty items make my heart swell with joy. Is it the packaging? Or knowing its purpose is specifically for a trip? Or the fact that it’s a little cheaper. It’s a mix of all three and its also a great reason to try some new products before committing.
The team at World Duty Free kindly sent me some products to try and here is how I got on.
This is reminder that my hair looks like this unless I use a Tangle Teezer.
I actually have a Tangle Teezer already and I don’t know how I survived without it. My hair is curly poofy hybrid (think poodle caught in humidity) and the brush makes hair so much softer and easy to manager. I prefer using it wet as this helps me detangle my curls properly.
What I love about this design is that its easy to find in your bag or case and it comes with a handy click-on cover. You’ll be detangling your beach waves much more efficiently with this.
You can purchase it here.
Who doesn’t love the feel of a new lipstick. There’s something so satisfying about that first swipe on your hand or lips and the click of the tube after the first use.
Lipstick Queen is a brand I’ve encountered before and I was intrigued when I opened this product? I wasn’t quite sure if it was a lip balm or actually yellow. Before using it, I had to search the shade to be sure, and of course, it was a surprise:
“Sunshine in a tube! This bright yellow lipstick transforms into a beautiful bright coral shade when worn on the lips. It’s super moisturizing and long-lasting with a wash of happy colour. The latest in our transforming lip shades, Mornin’ Sunshine makes every day a good day.”
This lipstick is more of a tint and is perfect for holiday, especially as harsh weather like sunshine or cold can leave lips feeling dry or sore. I can’t wait to try it on my next few trips as I suffer SO badly with dry lips. I would pair this with a brown liner like Mac’s Chestnut lip-pencil or a dark brow pencil if I’m running low on room in my case.
First of all, just look at this packaging:
Cute right? There was a fight or flight moment when I opened these are they were way to adorable to use. I just wanted to display them on my mantelpiece and stare at them but I also knew I had to try them out.
My favourite scent was the Gold Fresh Couture and I’m sitting here wondering whether I should order the bigger bottle. It features notes of sensual dry-down of sandalwood, musk, vanilla and akigalawood rounds and would go well with a beach vacation. A good way to prep for a trip is to match our products to your destination.
You can shop the Moschino fragrance collection here.
One of the reasons I enjoy getting to the airport early is the shopping. I always pick up some beauty or skin care items before I fly as of course most likely I’ve forgotten something. Not only that it is also a great way to treat yourself as after all you’re on holiday.
You can check out whats on offer here. Best of all, you can place your order and pick it up from your terminal before you travel. I’m heading to Hamburg next week from Stansted Airport and have been loving Fresh Beauty lately, especially the lip scrub. Time to place another order!
What do you love about World Duty Free?
Please note, these products were sent for my review but all views are my own.
Welcome to my little space on the internet, known as Memoirs and Musings. I’m Char, short for Charlotte and my blog/website/diary is dedicated to documenting my Memoirs and Musings, hence the name. I wouldn’t say I was your ‘typical’ blogger either. I don’t care about getting the perfect flatlay or feeling bad for not posting, I just enjoy writing. If you’ve made it this far, thank you for reading. Anyway, I love to travel, indulge in a glass of white wine, when plans are cancelled and purchase overpriced make up. I guess that’s me in a nutshell, trying to figure out this thing called life, have fun and never lose sight.
