Musings: My LA Inspired Playlist

Whenever I go away, one of my favourite things to do is to create a playlist based on the mood of the place I’m visiting or just the place itself. I visited LA for the first time last year and I fell in love with the sunsets, the vibe and the weirdness that went with it.

There is something magical about the West Coast, the laid back attitude and all things Hollywood.

Halsey – Hurricane
Chainsmokers ft. Halsey – Closer
This makes me wanna buy a convertible, find a guy in a bar, fall in ‘love’ and ride off into the sunset.
Madonna – Hollywood
How could I not include this?
Madonna – American Life
Pretty much the whole American Life album should be in this post but I’ve edited it down to this and Hollywood.
Hotel Roosevelt
Lana Del Rey – Ride
Having always been a fan of Lana, many of her songs discuss American culture and ‘Ride’ fits in perfectly with all things LA.
As does…
Lana Del Rey – West Coast
Fergie – Glamorous
This was my anthem back in the day and tbh who doesn’t want a somewhat glamorous life? If it means not getting on the tube anymore, sign me up.
Fergie – LA Love
Fifth Harmony – The Life
Halsey – Drive
Black Eyed Peas – Meet Me Halfway
Right at the borderline.

What songs remind you of L.A? Do you make playlists before you go away?

About Me

Welcome to my little space on the internet, known as Memoirs and Musings. I’m Char, short for Charlotte and my blog/website/diary is dedicated to documenting my Memoirs and Musings, hence the name. I wouldn’t say I was your ‘typical’ blogger either. I don’t care about getting the perfect flatlay or feeling bad for not posting, I just enjoy writing. If you’ve made it this far, thank you for reading. Anyway, I love to travel, indulge in a glass of white wine, when plans are cancelled and purchase overpriced make up.  I guess that’s me in a nutshell, trying to figure out this thing called life, have fun and never lose sight.
