Musings: Finding Your Glow – A Review

Please note, this is a collaborative post with Cosmetify.

Before I begin this post, I know that Mother’s Day can be a difficult topic for some, so if you want to read something else, check out my travel section for getaway inspiration. However if you’re looking for gift inspiration for your mother or a mother-figure in your life, look no further than Cosmetify.

If you have never heard of the brand before, then where have you been? Only joking, in essence, Cosmetify is a “beauty discovery website that places over 100,000 products from thousands of brands directly at your fingertips. With a wide range available on one platform, we are the search engine for beauty lovers, providing everything you need from makeup to hair, grooming to skin care and electricals to toiletries.” –Source

I was kindly sent a few bits to show you just the range they have. I always try and link everything back to self-care and it’s so important to take time out for yourself and make sure the mother figure in your life does too. Modern life is stressful and it’s good to have a little splurge every now and then to unwind and relax.

Cheers to the good life.

Soak It All In

Sanctuary Spa Minis Gift Set

At only £4, this set will definitely last you a couple of weeks or a couple of trips if you travel often. Taking time out to have a long soak with no distractions is so underestimated. I highly recommend turning notifications off, turning the music up, lighting a few candles and grabbing a glass of wine to set the scene.

Under the Sheet Mask

After a long soak in the bath, why not spend even more time relaxing with a sheet mask. I must confess, I am a sheet mask addict as they don’t require a 139843084 visits to the sink and come off in one go. These are a few I’d recommend trying but there are TONS available. It all dependents on your skin type and what you want to achieve. Here are the ones I tried:

Skin milk bomb mask
Garnier Ultralift Mask

Getting Your Glow

I’ve saved the best one until last…

The Huda Beauty 3D Highlighter Palette in ‘Bronze Sands’ is the closest thing you can get to that holiday glow without getting on a flight. Not only are the shades named after the most enviable destinations on this planet (Barbados, Maldives etc), it looks amazing on all skin tones. You can wear these together, alone or even as eyeshadow, all I know is that I’ll be stuck to these all summer.

You can shop this here.

Mother’s Day is all about celebrating and appreciating the mother figure in your life past or present. You can shop at Cosmetify here.

About Me

Welcome to my little space on the internet, known as Memoirs and Musings. I’m Char, short for Charlotte and my blog/website/diary is dedicated to documenting my Memoirs and Musings, hence the name. I wouldn’t say I was your ‘typical’ blogger either. I don’t care about getting the perfect flatlay or feeling bad for not posting, I just enjoy writing. If you’ve made it this far, thank you for reading. Anyway, I love to travel, indulge in a glass of white wine, when plans are cancelled and purchase overpriced make up.  I guess that’s me in a nutshell, trying to figure out this thing called life, have fun and never lose sight.
