Working from home, it’s a love and loathe situation. I’m here to debunk the things I detest and things I adore about working from home. Writing can get a little lonely sometimes however it can also solidify the relationship you have with yourself.
I know my environment. Knowing what’s around me and where everything is gives me a feeling of being at ease.
I don’t have to commute. Not having to leave home and come into contact with pollution, people or their pets is everything you could ever want, right? And of course, I lessen my carbon footprint.
Being close to the fridge. Having snacks right in front of you is very helpful.
Saving money. Most of the time, sitting in coffee shops or restaurants means you need to spend money and coffee at home will always be cheaper.
Not seeing anyone. Working from home can get lonely, even though I may interact on social media or send an iMessage, human contact is important.
Being inspired. Inspiration usually comes from your surroundings and being outside or around people is a great way to get this.
Missing the commute. Commutes may be the definition of the word ‘urgh’ but they also inspire you and give you a little time out to think or read which affects the quality of your work.
There you have it, I both love and loathe working from home, it really depends on my mood! But what is important to remember is to make sure your tablets, laptops and phones are securely labelled which is where Seareach comes in. They specialise in all different types of labels with 30 years experience and a huge client roster, you know you’ll be in good hands.

Welcome to my little space on the internet, known as Memoirs and Musings. I’m Char, short for Charlotte and my blog/website/diary is dedicated to documenting my Memoirs and Musings, hence the name. I wouldn’t say I was your ‘typical’ blogger either. I don’t care about getting the perfect flatlay or feeling bad for not posting, I just enjoy writing. If you’ve made it this far, thank you for reading. Anyway, I love to travel, indulge in a glass of white wine, when plans are cancelled and purchase overpriced make up. I guess that’s me in a nutshell, trying to figure out this thing called life, have fun and never lose sight.
