If you’ve never heard about FM World, they are a direct selling company which were established in Poland way back in 2004. Since then they have over 3000 products that we sell ranging from perfumes and aftershaves to make up to cosmetics. Next year they’ll be celebrating their 16th anniversary in the Maldives and I would be lying if I wasn’t jealous!
I was kindly sent Toffee and Dark Brown shade to try out and over the past few months and it has become a solid staple in my make up kit.
The foundation is described as:
Retailing at £16, the FM foundation is in the mid-range price range. I’ve previously spent £40 on a foundation and as little as £4 so pricing doesn’t really bother me as a I mix high and low end in my make up routine. They say cheap doesn’t equal good and good doesn’t equal cheap but I don’t really buy into all that. It’s all down to preference. Especially as no one looks at your face and asks you how much you have spent, right?
I wasn’t sure if the Toffee shade was going to suit me at first as it looked quite light in the bottle. I was glad I hard the darker shade on hand just in case I needed to mix to get my exact match but surprisingly I didn’t.
On first impressions, I wasn’t sure if I liked the fact that the foundation had a scent but it didn’t bother me too much, it was actually rather pleasant after a few uses.
It applied like a dream and I found the best application with a brush. It dries down in couple of minutes leaving a smooth, glowy finish. This is perfect for those with dry skin or want a healthy glow in the winter months.
After a whole day of wearing (I’m talking 10 hours wear) it through London’s pollution, a gym work out, it still held up which gets the seal of approval from me! If I were going out in the evening I would have only needed to touch up with powder.
My only major critique of the foundation is that comes in 5 shades (that I am aware of). If they were to expand the range in time it’d be a strong contender in the beauty world.
