1. You are your own worst enemy
The only one in the way of you succeeding is you. Or if there is someone else stopping you, remove them.
2. You never know who your next customer or client is
Supply and demand. You supply it and your customer will demand it. People are willing to pay for anything – Jo Malone sell candles for £100 and Yankee Candles retail at around £16, its all about finding your customer or letting them find you.
Market your product right and it can be sold anywhere.
The same goes for creative work, the amount of times I receive a lovely blog comment or email, my heart swells. You never know the impact you can have on someone’s life. Whether your work is a source of inspiration, education, awareness, you wanting to share your talent with the world or just chat sh*t on the internet. You never know who needs it.
3. If it’s not for financial gain, do it for you
This is exactly why I started this blog, writing on Plus Minus and my soon to be released podcast – The Hustle Hotline. Not everything is about money and money isn’t the end goal for everyone.
4. Regret
Do you ever wanna keep repeating the ‘What if?’ question day after day. You’ll never know if you don’t put yourself or your work out there. Even if you don’t want to put your face or ‘signature’ to it, there are ways to brand it so its anonymous.
5. Growth
Even if it doesn’t make you money, doesn’t make you a better person, doesn’t attract millions of customers, do it for you. You don’t grow from being in a comfort zone. And of course, hindsight is a beautiful thing and it has a way of looking at your life from a 360 degree perspective. Simple – GO FOR IT.
