Have I mentioned how much I love sheet masks or skincare? Since I’ve started doing daily sheet masks instead of once a week I have noticed a vast improvement in the way my skin looks and feels. I also love trying new brands and seeing what works for me and doesn’t so when the team at Skin Republic sent me a couple to try out I couldn’t wait.
They arrived just in time for my trip to Mykonos so in an effort to get some “me” time in I took them away with me.
The Face Mask Brand with Endless Benefits
Collagen Infusion Face Sheet Mask
The Collagen Infusion Face sheet mask retails at around £4.99 and is your classic mask you’ve probably seen plastered over your Instagram feed on #SelfCareSunday. It’s drenched in all the good stuff like collagen, elastin and vitamin E help revitalise the skin’s elasticity, tone and firmness.
I used this after I arrived in Mykonos as it’s no lie that airplanes ruin your skin… and well I’m not getting any younger. After 20 minutes, it immediately felt rejuvenated, smooth and ready to take a week in the sun.
Green Tea Hydrogel Mask
The Green Tea Hydrogel mask retails at around £6.99 and it’s worth every penny it in my opinion. You will find that most sheet masks are to be left on for 10-20 minutes. This one however can be worn from 30-40 minutes giving you plenty of time to snooze, meditate or catch up on the news.
In contrast to your usual sheet masks, it is made from hydrogel which protects skin and prevents damage caused by environmental pollutants. Given that most of us live in big cities, this is a must. We may often forget that although we’re inside most of the time working away, pollutants can still work their way in and cause havoc.
The sheet mask came with two separate pieces meaning you cold position them to the natural contours of your face. I took off the mask after around 35 mins (I always use the timer on my phone so I don’t go overboard), it was time to peel it off. I immediately noticed that my skin felt firmer, tighter and supple, kind of like that post-facial feeling?
Winter skin woes
My skin type is dry and winter is the worst time for it so I’m making a head start on my routine this year by drinking tons of water, staying hydrated and investing in Skin Republic masks.
The full Skin Republic range is available from theskinrepublic.co.uk, and select UK Boots and Superdrug stores.
