Personal life admin can sometimes feel like the bane of your life. You might be tired of doing admin in your day-to-day life or have it pushed on to you by other people so I’m here to remind you how to get on top of it.
Break It Down
Don’t make it more than it is. It is just something you need to do to get to the next stage in life. I always see things as relative, so if I need to do something like book a dentist appointment, I know my future-self will thank me when I no longer have that toothache.
Make A List
Much like you need to break it down, you will also need a list of things you need to do. Using the Notes app on your phone or a spreadsheet is a great way to keep track of things and make notes where necessary. Example, you may have an item that suddenly becomes faulty and you’ll need to find the number for it, this is where Head Office Finder comes in, providing a place with all the useful numbers to get in touch with restaurants, retail stores and manufacturers.
Pick A Day
Instead of overwhelming yourself will all the personal admin you have to do, pick a day every month and get it done. Turn off your phone, log out of all social media, make some coffee and get it done. I would always suggest making this day the ‘first’ of each month, so either the first Saturday or Sunday. That way, with a new month, you can feel fresh again and feel like you’re getting it over and done with.

Give Yourself Deadlines
Some deadlines are set in stone by external powers like HMRC. Instead of scrambling last-minute to submit a tax return or annual accounts, get them done two weeks or month in advance. This will give you enough time to correct any mistakes and get extra help if you need it.

Hey Char! Nice tips, I agree getting your schedule set for the first day of the month is perfect. Time management is so necessary for being consistent and getting things done 🤗

First of all…I just love the look of this site!! So. Yes.
Giving myself a deadline is the number one way I get anything done. I am the biggest procrastinator and I’ll be sitting doing EVERYTHING but what needs to be done. I stay laughing at people who think I’m organized.
The pick a day trick is one of my favs. That’s my “girl we gon show them who is boss” day, which usually means I’m tired of pretending I’ve been working. But I’m being hard on myself, in the last two months or so I’ve been super on top of my stuff so who knows…I might be a changed woman!

THANK YOU SO MUCH BUT I NEED A NEW LAYOUT!
The day trick is so good because at least you can switch the rest of the world off. Downtime is SO important too. xxx
