Along with with winter comes a change in our moods, wellbeing and feelings. I don’t know about you but I become a huge homebody this time of year and relish in cancelled plans. However, when I do go out, I love to experiment with fragrances and opt for something more intense. That leads me on nicely to ‘By Invitation: Peony Noir’ by Michael Buble. You’re probably thinking, isn’t Michael Buble our generation’s Father Christmas? Well yes. But he also has a range of fragrances for all year round and every mood. And of course, you are invited by invitation…
I was kindly sent the By Invitation Peony Noir to try and before I butcher this description, this sums it up perfectly:
Let’s get started with the bottle – most celebrity ranges tend to be over the top when it comes to packaging, almost as though they have something to compensate for. This one on the other hand is the exact opposite, it’s simple, elegant and you can imagine it sitting on your dresser for years to come. Not only that, it fits in with all the other fragrances in the range meaning if you were out looking for it to re-purchase you’d recognise it immediately.
The elements of sweet rose and orange blossom are usually synonymous for evenings but with us not getting much sunlight this time of year, you can definitely wear it all day. And yes, it lasts. I tested this out for a good week and it really does last. The trick is not to spray too much in the first place as you should never be able to smell your fragrance yourself.
I always try and link back beauty products to self care and fragrances are an long-lasting way to achieve this. They can make you feel a little sexier on those days when you feel like ‘eh’. If you’ve never tried this before, on a down day, try mixing up your scent to relieve a bad mood. Thank me later…
You can purchase the fragrance here.
Please note, this product was sent for my review but all views are my own.
Welcome to my little space on the internet, known as Memoirs and Musings. I’m Char, short for Charlotte and my blog/website/diary is dedicated to documenting my Memoirs and Musings, hence the name. I wouldn’t say I was your ‘typical’ blogger either. I don’t care about getting the perfect flatlay or feeling bad for not posting, I just enjoy writing. If you’ve made it this far, thank you for reading. Anyway, I love to travel, indulge in a glass of white wine, when plans are cancelled and purchase overpriced make up. I guess that’s me in a nutshell, trying to figure out this thing called life, have fun and never lose sight.
