Memoirs: Treasure Hunting with TKMaxx – Event Roundup

Please note, I was kindly provided with a gift card to spend at TKMaxx in exchange for a review of the new store.

Last week I was invited to the new TKMaxx store opening on the busiest street in London – Oxford Street. The exclusive event took place from 6pm-9pm on a rainy Wednesday evening, UK summer where for art thou?

After queuing for a little while, I was finally let in to the store to run wild in search of bargains far and wide. Most TKMaxx stores I have been to are usually laid out on one floor whereas the new Oxford Street store has FOUR! That way it makes it much easier to find what you’re looking for or not…

If you’re a beauty junkie like me you can find these as soon as you walk in on the left. Everything is merchandised by colour which is not only aesethetically pleasing but a pleasant shopping experience might I add. On the right and to the back of ground floor you can find every person’s favourite accessory – the handbag, also merchandised by colour. This is great because most of the time when you want a handbag or purse you have a colour in mind, right?

Tip: Check out the glass cabinet for pre-loved luxe pieces. Big labels, small prices and ridiculous possibilities!

Up to the first floor where you can find the illustrious luxe Gold Label items. I feel in love with a gorgeous burgundy bag that is more than my mortgage payment so I’ll let someone else find that treasure instead…

You can also find sunglasses, lingerie and tech on this floor, which is perfect if you need a wardrobe refresh or shopping for a holiday. I’ll be going back to get some wireless headphones soon as I’ll need these for work and my trips later on this year! And if you’re feeling parched after too much shopping, drinks are also available to purchase, reasonably priced might I add.

Floor two is home to home, kids and women’s shoes. I don’t have kids but I do have a home and that means I have *room* for shoes. Apparently you can never have enough! But if you’re into your home decor I’m pretty sure the Oxford Street TKMaxx is the best for this. Everything is unique, priced at up to 60% less than the RRP, meaning you can decorate your home and wardrobe for less. And if you’re hungry along the way, you can stock up on food too…

“Great product doesn’t hang around, treasures can be found by heading in-store or online.”

My highlights:

My favourite part of the store was the activewear section and it had a ton of brands I wasn’t expecting to see!

With discount stores in general, most of the items are random colours but TKMaxx has key pieces in staple colours such as black, white, grey and navy.

I must admit I don’t shop in ‘real life’ much anymore as I favour the convenience of online shopping but when I am going through my local high street TK Maxx is one of those stores I have to take a look in. Mainly because I never know what I’m going to find! Their products don’t hang around (literally) and its a shop you have to BUY NOW otherwise you’ll cry later.

Check out all TKMaxx online here with details of the new Oxford Street store. What is the best bargain you have got from TKMaxx?

About Me

Welcome to my little space on the internet, known as Memoirs and Musings. I’m Char, short for Charlotte and my blog/website/diary is dedicated to documenting my Memoirs and Musings, hence the name. I wouldn’t say I was your ‘typical’ blogger either. I don’t care about getting the perfect flatlay or feeling bad for not posting, I just enjoy writing. If you’ve made it this far, thank you for reading. Anyway, I love to travel, indulge in a glass of white wine, when plans are cancelled and purchase overpriced make up.  I guess that’s me in a nutshell, trying to figure out this thing called life, have fun and never lose sight.
