Musings: My SkinBase Facial Experience

Please note, my treatment was complimentary however all views are my own.

As I get older or what I would like to call ‘levelling up’, I am trying to maintain a look of youth and vitality versus being haggard and worn. You know that look when you’ve had a few too many late nights, feeling a little stressed and someone utters the phrase ‘You look tired’. What do you want me to do with that? Pause time and get more sleep? Anyway, back to my point about maintaining a youthful look, these days I’m trying to be consistent with my skincare, drink more water, exercise (the bane of my life) and eat cleaner. That means washing my chocolate before consumption.

This leads me nicely on to my Collagen Lift facial experience. What is it you may ask?

“For use on the face and body, Collagen Lift remodels, tones and builds; rejuvenating & tightening skin and acting on cellulite. Some injectables paralyse the muscle to improve the appearance of wrinkles and plump out the skin. Collagen Lift clients can look forward to increased muscle tone, a more defined jaw line and diminished fine lines caused simply by the tightening effect from a natural realignment of the tissues.

Results from a course of Collagen Lift are instant. Tightening of the elastin fibres occurs immediately, giving an instant visible result. Over the medium term clients benefit from increased collagen production for up to 3 months after the course has been completed. Long term, results can last up to 2 years.”

I was excited to try it simply because as I’m getting older (ew) I want to keep my skin looking tight and supple. Not gonna lie I have thought about going down the filler route but that’s as far I’ve gone, a thought. I don’t know if I could ever trust a medical institution enough to inject something into my face. This is why I’d rather try facials, a good skincare routine, knowing what to use and when.

How was my Collagen Lift experience?

Relaxing – I honestly could have fallen asleep.

Tightening – My skin felt tighter and less ‘eh’. I’d come back from Dubai (a stressful life, I know) a few days before and plane air always misses with my skin.

Plump – Having plump skin is something I can’t really depict but it feels incredible. Having that rejuvenated, healthy glow is a great way to not only look good but feel good too.

Will you be booking in soon?

About Me

Welcome to my little space on the internet, known as Memoirs and Musings. I’m Char, short for Charlotte and my blog/website/diary is dedicated to documenting my Memoirs and Musings, hence the name. I wouldn’t say I was your ‘typical’ blogger either. I don’t care about getting the perfect flatlay or feeling bad for not posting, I just enjoy writing. If you’ve made it this far, thank you for reading. Anyway, I love to travel, indulge in a glass of white wine, when plans are cancelled and purchase overpriced make up.  I guess that’s me in a nutshell, trying to figure out this thing called life, have fun and never lose sight.
